10 Things About Me

I figure I may as well join in, I’m pretty open in my blogs but maybe you’ll learn something new.

1. I’m conflict averse, though I am getting better at dealing with it.

2. I can get past hurt feelings fast, if treated with respect.

3. I’ve been all over North America, lived in six states, and drove the Al-Can, but never left the continent. (I actually drove from Fairbanks Alaska to Phoenix Arizona, in February, with my husband and two dogs in the car.)

4. I originally went to college to become a teacher, then dropped out because I was in lurve with an army man. I was eighteen, I knew jack squat.

5. I loathe the taste of seafood and fish.

6. I feed and water my cats before I do anything for myself in the morning.

7. I make homemade cat food for my cats. That’s not all they eat, but I supplement canned and dry food with homemade. They love it.

8. I hate eating with my dentures in. I wear them purely for appearance, not at all for function. 😂😂😂 They take up too much room in my mouth and I don’t taste the food as much. I just chop things up small. 😜

9. I only own four pairs of shoes. Crocs, boots, tennis shoes, and dress shoes. This is by design.

10. I wear the same five dresses almost everyday in rotation. Convenience and comfort. When one gets worn, it gets cut into rags and I buy a new one to replace it.

  1. I'm thinking the dentures and the Wegovy might have a synergistic effect!! 😊

  2. Presumably when you drove from Alaska to Arizona, you had to pass through Canada.

    2. I guess Debbi doesn't recognise Canadian independence!

    3. Alright Mr smarty pants. I recognize Canadian independence goofball.

The Al-Can I mention in number three is the Alaska-Canadian Highway. It is a notoriously dangerous pass going through mountains and winding roads, some turns not having guardrails.

It is 1387 miles (2232 km) long going from Dawson’s Creek British Colombia to Delta Junction Alaska.

It’s a flex because I did it in winter on icy roads. 😝

    4. By the way, this was all pre 911, before you needed a passport to get from America to Canada. We didn’t even get stopped at either border, they just waved us through.

    5. I sure miss the days of being able to cross borders without needing a passport. You are right Deb, driving through the mountains with all those twists and turns can be extremely dangerous. As for Canadian Independence, Alaska should have been ours and not the States...lol.

    6. It may surprise you to hear that I agree with your take on Alaska. ;)

    7. If neither USA nor Canada want Alaska, I'm sure Britain will have it!

    8. No doubt!
I now think Alaska should be given to Ukraine.

    9. Debbi, I think your "I think poor President Zelensky has his hands full with Ukraine right now" may have spammed.

    10. Huh, found another glitch, it's not in my spam. It's listed in "Comments" but I don't see it here either.

    11. That's a mystery. It's good that AFF doesn't have a monopoly of mysteries though!

  4. It's great learning new things about friends and other bloggers 😁

Homemade cat food in Japan would be rice mixed with bonita flakes 😂
