Good morning/Evening/Afternoon Everyone! I hope you're having a good day! I apologize for being late, it was a tough week for my back. As a reminder, I garden, organically (no pesticides only organic fertilizer), in Zone 9B year-round. Though my work has been slowed by back issues, I continue to grow almost all the produce we eat. I started gardening late in life, only beginning three years ago. I learned everything I know through Youtube, websites, and some gardening friends I have made along the way. Starting in the front yard, one of my closest blog friend's favorite flowers in my garden has bloomed, Plumbago, which is native to tropical climates. Our subtropical weather suits it just fine. Now that we're well over the eighties during the day, it's a happy camper. The lilies are getting ready to bloom. The bananas are hanging in there. As many of you know,  I have a particular fondness for "shocking" people by changing my hair color. My hair has been white for far too long, and it's time for a change. Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to see my Primary Care Physician, and I realized she went through a whole pregnancy and had a kid with me having white hair. That's not right. 🤣😂 Not to mention, the pain doctor has never seen me with anything other than white hair, and that appointment is on the 19th. So, it's time. The color, though, is still up for grabs I have all these to choose from! 😂🤣 Anyone hoping for rainbow hair, don't get your hopes up, that's a lot of work! What color(s) do you think it will be?

Alright Alright Alright, it's that time of the week again. Time to have a gander at what the garden is up to. And Away We Go... Starting in the front yard, guess who has bananas? Oh yes, one of my banana plants in the front has flowered and is starting to bear fruit! The Star Jasmine is Flowering and smelling glorious! Here's another volunteer sunflower popping up The rose is still blooming Moving to the backyard, have you ever seen an onion bloom? Speaking of blooming, I allowed this brassica that I'm still not sure what it is to go to seed as well. Since so many people spray for "weeds", this leaves the bird population often starving. When I can, I like to allow things to go to seed to feed the wild bird population. It's the least I can do considering all these murder mittens (cats) I have running around.  Alright, we're starting at the point where you're ready to write your post and want to insert a video or image into the post.  It's real simple.  Look at that bar above where you're typing away, do you see the buttons?  By clicking on the image button, a menu comes up.  Mine is linked to my Google Drive, so if your menu doesn't look like mine, that's why. Upload whatever you want. In this next screenshot is how you upload a video. This next screenshot will help you change the size of the picture or video you want to appear. Just Click the Gear circled. This screen will pop up, and the default setting seems to be Medium. When you click on the plus sign that says "New Post", this is the screen that comes up.  Where I circled is where you put the title of your post.  Most of the Settings are self-explanatory. There are a couple things I do want to point out. At the top part of "Settings" is where you can change the title and description of your blog if you like. Just click on what you want to change.  The next thing I want to point out is deciding whether or not you're going to show a warning if it's adult content. Mine is off, you do you. :D Finally, you will notice I scratched off my "Google Analytics Measurement ID. I am a nerd who likes that shit, I suspect most of you won't care.  Further down is another thing I want to point out, "Meta tags" I've allowed the search, as I want people to find me. You can see the terms I used. You do you. :) At the bottom of settings is where you can edit your profile if you like. Just click the link.  Hi All, I may not be the most tech-savvy, but I have figured out how to do things on this site. And, I have the time to put together a little presentation to help everyone.  This is probably going to be a series. I'm going to start with the basics, what will get your blog up and running, and how to make sure people can follow you. When you sign into Blogger, your beginning page looks like this (Yours will have different posts, but the left side of the screen will look like this.  On that left side, click on "Layout" This is where you are going to add the gadget so people can follow you easily.  Don't worry, I'll teach you to add them to your reading list later in this post, so you can easily see when they put up new blog posts because this site doesn't send out alerts or emails to your followers, they're just going to have to check or keep up with their reading list. Never in my life did I believe things would get to this point, but here we are.  While I wholeheartedly miss the comradery and friendships built on the blogs, I do not miss AFF. I miss the blogging with everyone, for sure. I do not miss the inconsistent moderation, gaslighting by SiteSupport, and toxic culture currently being created by the site's actions.  Criticism is good when given constructively. We all gave constructive criticism for months and were ignored. Then, they banned us, when not one of us broke the Terms of Service. Yet, there are countless criticisms of the site still left up. They banned us because we have large followings, and they wanted to shut us up rather than fix what was wrong. I say no, I won't take this anymore. I'm done being muzzled. There are HUGE problems with AFF, and no one there seems to want to improve user experience. They just seemingly want to monetize more, take away gold privileges and charge extra for them, fix less, and rely on new ...

  Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening All! Y’all didn't think I’d stop because of the fuckwits at aff did you?  Let’s do this! Starting in the front yard, check out the glory of the red pentas.  The hot pink ones are looking luscious too There’s two volunteer sunflowers coming up in the same spot.  We’re getting Mulberries  And the roses are looking lovely as ever.  Moving to the backyard, strawberries are still banging out the fruit! My new pineapple is loving its new home.  We have dinosaur kale coming up The pepper is starting to produce The sunflowers to be planted in the front yard once they’re bigger are really coming in.  The cucumbers are getting their first true leaves And, finally, we have this pepper plant. I call him Jon, sometimes Ali. Do you see how defective it looks? It produces like shit too.
